Sacred Heart Family Room

RMHC INW Family Rooms address physical basic needs, especially for moms who have recently given birth; meeting emotional needs by providing an opportunity to step outside the hospital environment and into a space that feels more like a home; finally, by proving a place for families facing similar situations to arrive together and build a strong community.

About the Family Rooms

The Family Room is equipped with a kitchenette fully stocked with snacks and beverages, a family lounge area, laundry services, a private shower facility, and a play area for kids. There are four private overnight rooms that are open to the families of pediatric patients. Each private overnight room is equipped with a bed, a nightstand with charging and USB ports, and a fan. The Family room allows families the simple comfort of being able to make a snack or wash a child’s favorite blankie all while being steps away from their child’s bedside. Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House either live 40 minutes or 40 miles outside of Spokane, however an advantage of the Family Room is that it is open to anyone who has a child in the hospital.

A Place to Rest and Regroup at the Hospital

When families walk into a Ronald McDonald Family Room, we want them to forget they’re in a hospital. Often steps away from a pediatric or intensive care unit, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms offer a place to rest and regroup right at the hospital, just moments away from their sick child.
