The 11th annual Flamingo Flock Fundraiser takes flight on Monday, April 13th and lands on Monday, April 27th.
Organized by our Teen Board, complemented by our Emerging Leaders Board, and in partnership with Community Cancer Fund, Flamingo Flock is a community-wide event that raises awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest. This annual fundraiser helps spark conversation, spread awareness, and bring the community together for a meaningful cause.
Businesses are invited to join the fun by displaying a provided poster and are encouraged to “turn pink” by lighting their buildings pink if they are able — showing their support in a bright way. Participating businesses will also have their logo featured on our website.
Neighborhoods across Spokane will be “flocked” with bright pink flamingos and a yard sign to show support for families with children receiving medical care.
Don’t forget to tag us on social media so we can share all your pink photos! 🦩
Together, we can turn Spokane pink and remind families they are supported by the entire community.
What does this have to do with Teen Board?
Meeting monthly from September through May, Teen Board members develop leadership skills, collaborate with mentors, and learn inner workings of nonprofit management while volunteering and supporting families staying at the House. Students lead initiatives that enhance the guest experience, organize events, and build awareness campaigns. Their work throughout the year culminates in the annual Flamingo Flock Fundraiser — an opportunity to see the real impact of their efforts as Spokane comes together in a sea of pink to support local families.
